Well for stitching I didn't do to badly. I worked on Chatelaine mystery xii. Also worked on QS lovers. Here is what I did so far

Contentment

I am so content with my life at the moment. I have a better home life since I finished school (mind you I have word and Excel to do), and knowing I have a great job in my chosen career I am grateful. I love working for the ladies I work for. They are wonderful. It is hard to believe I have completed 3 weeks with them and feel at home already. I am the only legal assistant for their business but believe me there is enough work to do.

I am slowly getting back to the gym and will look forward to having a very balanced life. I know I will be debt free before December comes again. Mind you I may just have my student loan to pay. But I wouldn't trade that for the world.

I do plan on treating myself this month with some stuff I would like but know I do not need. But that is my one and only splurge. With my daughters' graduating this year as well and both wanting to leave home once that is done. I will be an empty nester. My 17 year old however has to wait till her 18th birthday before I let her leave though. I want to make sure she can handle it. I still feel she is too young to leave home.

With stitching I am finally getting back to it. I started QS Lovers on January 1st and worked more on the second for the HAED SAL on the BB. I will be back to Chatelaine Mystery XII this week as well.

I have Saturday off and looks like we will spend some of the day test driving some cars. We need another vehicle as the Van decided to quit just after Christmas. I hope everyone had a great New Years. I will keep in touch more through my blog.

Happy New Year

Well it is that time again. Looking over my last year I have had some low moments and some high moments.

I will not go into the low moments as they are best left in the past. But the high moments I have a great career now and love working at my law office. I also have another job as well that I do enjoy. I also have 4 cross stitch finishes for the year. Monopoly, Dream, Witchy Washy and Oriental Courage. I am quiet happy to have those completed.

Now for the New Year. I do not make resolutions anymore as I never stuck by them and now is not the time to work on making any either. But I do intend to get some weight loss going and getting back to the gym. I am also not starting another cross stitch except one. I signed up on the HAED BB for the new SAL. So I will be working on that starting tomorrow.

2012 is going to be my finishing year. Finish the rest of my schooling (only have word and excel to do) and to finish my cross stitching. It is also going to be finishing all those debts I have. I figure it will take me 6 months to clear out except for my student loan.

So here is to 2012 and a year that is going to be fantastic for us all :)

Sunday Update

Wow I didn't think I would do these again lol. Anyways. I worked on my finish Witchy Washy and after I finished that I worked on my HAED SK SAL all I did was White so nothing to show on that. But then I picked up another one I would love to see finished this year. It is my Chatelaine Mystery XII so I finished part 7 tonight and will be heading to Part 9 lol. Here it is part 7 and what it looks like overall.

I will probably be working on my HAED SK again to see if I can add different colours. Then I will get back to Part 9. Have a great week.

Sitting in Class

As I am sitting in class, I am reminded on how much I love my new path. I have finally found what I am suppose to do with my life. It is a long process but as I start to finish up the last of the legal part of my course I am reminded everyday how fortunate I am that I am almost done. Yes I have not picked up my stitching in months as when I get home from my day I am usually dead tired. I will paint a picture for you as to what I go through in a day.Monday and Tuesday are my short days as I am only in class until the lecture is done and I have all my work completed. So I am usually home by noon. But then again I am up by 5 to leave by 5:30 am so I can have a parking spot at the train as the parking fills up fast and I really do not want to walk 5 blocks.Wednesday to Friday I am up again at 5 and leave again at 5:30 am. I go to school till again we are done. After I am off to the car to drop off my heavy books and then I head back to the train and head back downtown Calgary. I go get lunch then I walk the 6 blocks to go to my practicum. I am there from 1pm till 5pm sometimes 5:30pm. Then off to the house. I get home anywhere from 6:30 to 7pm I eat a veg then I go back to sleep.It does make for a very long day. So I hope that I can get back to my stitching soon but alas I fear I won't be. I really miss picking up the needle and I really miss working on the beautiful pictures. I do have to get working on my SK Sal which I hope to do today as I am going home due to not feeling the greatest. Well that is what I am up to. Back to learning Real Estate Law.

School

Well as school progresses I am finding time to stitch so I can relax. I am enjoying school however but there is a lot of stress lol. We have done so far in school Legal Office Procedures, General Law, Wills and Estates, Legal Research, and now working on Civil Litigation. I have done really well so far. In LOP I received 93%, in General Law I received 96%, in Wills and Estates I received 98% and in Legal Research I received 98% as well. Civil litigation is going really well so far. It really isn't that hard to be honest as it is mostly filling out the forms. Just have to pay attention to details.

Stitching

For stitching I have finished two projects and on track to finish a third. I have finished Monopoly finally I am so happy to have that one done. It is just sitting waiting till I have money to frame it. I also need certain pieces to finish it off lol. Here is the finished Monopoly.

I also finished Dream by Lizzie Kate. I have finished it before but as I left that at my previous job I never did get any of that stuff back. I will be making this into a cube but want to finish Love first before I do. So here is my finished Dream.

Last but not least I have been working on my Oriental Courage SK. I am almost done and really looking forward to getting it finished. I should have it done Sunday so watch this space for the finished project.

I have started on a new HAED that is part of a 6 month SAL with the HAED BB and I am excited to get working on it. Only issue is I am having troubles finding the right colour fabric. But I do have a gift certificate to use at my not so close lns for my birthday. So I'll post when I can on that.

So after Oriental Courage I will be working on my Chatelaine Mystery XII. I am so looking forward to getting back to that one.

Family

My family is doing really well at the moment. The girls are just finishing up their last exams now and will be done school today. They are so looking forward to not having to go to school everyday. They both are looking for summer jobs and I hope they get something so they don't drive me nuts when I get home. I am still not working yet but will hopefully have a job soon. Max is getting big as he is over a year old now and is a very loving playful dog. The older one Thor is still not taking to well to Max which is too bad. So we will be actively looking for a new home for Max.
We also had a busy week last week as it was my birthday. We wanted to buy a barbque for me and father's day as they were so close together. Well we went to walmart here in town and found the perfect barbque. The barbque was regular $379. We paid wait for it lol $100.00 it was such a great deal. Here is what it looks like It actually cooks like a dream. I love using it.

So over all a busy year and it will only get busier. I am looking forward to finishing this program and working in a Law office. I hope all of you have a great summer.

This has been such a busy year. I have been having a lot of ups and downs. One down is my exchange partner for the froggie exchange. I did mail it, just not sure what happened to it. I am sorry. I know I should of mailed Meari about it but I have been so busy with school. I again am sorry. I will be reviving this blog again as I have cut out some things in my life. And one is online gaming. I am not playing WOW anymore as I am finding the drama is just retarted. I have also left all my groups on yahoo as well as I have no time to read any of the emails anymore. I do hope you all forgive me for the issue with the exchange and I hope I can make it up to all of you

Simple Sunday Update

This week went by in such a blur that it was hard to believe that it is over. Weather wise we were extremely cold for the beginning of the week -40 temps it was horrible. By the middle of the week we were in the high 4o's it was such a nice change. Could almost walk around in just a sweater. Now we are dipping back down to the 20's but oh well.

Monday after school I met up with Ron and his Daughter Emma for lunch. It was great meeting her and she is just like her father it is amazing. He didn't have a hand of raising her but she is just like him.

School:

School this week went fast. As it is my first week at school was hard to decide what to expect. First week was dedicated to Windows XP Fundamentals well I finished that in 2 days. I received a 96% so I am satisfied with it. I then moved to Keyboarding. Finished that on Friday and I can type 65 words per minute with only 2 errors. Not to bad I must say lol. The passing mark for 100% was 50 words per minute with only 2 errors. I took my time I know I can type way faster than that but I wanted limited errors. And now I can put that on my resume. Also received a certificate so that is a bonus lol. So with finishing Keyboarding I added an extra week for my practicum.

Stitching:

I haven't been stitching all that much this week as when I get home I'm beat. But I did work on a SAL on the HAED board for their retired artist SAL. I worked on Revelations as it is February, so it is Revelation month. Here is where I started to stitch from:

I also worked on my Froggy exchange for the I-Love-Cross-Stitch Group. I have finished one part of my frog. Now just have to finish the other part and piece it together. I should have that done next weekend. I will get sent off to my partner. I hope they like it.

Well it is really cold outside at the moment. So what better to do then to stitch. This week I worked on Monopoly and Water. I really didn't pick up my stitching much this week but that is ok. I did get some done. And better to get some done then none I believe lol.

So I came up with a new stitching plan for my HAED's I will be working on them each Month so January was technically Advice from a Caterpillar. So February is Revelations. So here is where I'm starting for the month:

It also is the Retired Artist SAL on the HAED Board so I am working on Revelation.

Overall this month the stitching is going well. I am also working on an exchange piece for I-Love-Cross-Stitch yahoo group. It is a froggie exchange so I'm working on that as well. I will be done it in no time. I will be working on it more today.

School starts tomorrow so I may post more during the week or will post my usual Sunday's so I can let you know how my week went. First week is going to be a breeze for me as it's only the fundamentals of Windows XP and I learned XP when I took my Computer course for my last schooling so I know I am going to be so bored oh well.

UFO's

This week has been an interesting week overall. And an exciting week for some. I am still in shock that all of this has happened. Now you all are probably wondering what happened to me this week. Well I'll start from the beginning. When I met my DH I knew of a relationship he had previously where he had a daughter. Well he tried to see if he could be the responsible adult and try and make it work with the mother of his daughter. Well it unfortunately didn't work out and he lost all contact with his daughter. She was a year old when he saw her last. Just recently before Ron's 42nd birthday his daughter had found her sister, my daughter, and added her to Facebook. As Kerriene didn't know who it was she didn't add her sister. Ron came downstairs to my room and wanted me to see something. His Ex had left him a message on Facebook. That is when a whole can of worms opened up and I knew it was finally time for him to meet his daughter. I knew this day would come it's just I didn't know when it would happen. I am happy that it is happening and that he is able to have his daughter in his life again. They met on Friday and they spent 5 and 1/2 hours catching up. Really hard to keep the wondering on what is going on when you aren't there lol. So now she is back in Ron's and Kerriene's life and that makes me happy.

So needless to say stitching did suffer a bit but I did work on Monopoly. I am almost done. I changed the center a bit but it looks fantastic so here is where I left off:

Another one I pulled out for a SAL is Advice from a Caterpillar. I am enjoying working on this I almost have the leaf done. I hope to pull it out again but Monopoly has to be finished first. Here is where I left off:

Last but not least I decided to add sidebars to the blog I think they look fantastic. So I put all my HAED's on the side. The one HAED I really wanted to work on was Water. So I pulled that out yesterday for a bit. Here is where I was before I picked it up:

This week I plan on working on Monopoly and finishing it off. Then I'll probably put a poll up with a list on what to work on next. I will put the ones I am almost finished up.

Day 14 and 15

Well we have come to the end of the Crazy January Sal start portion lol. Here is my final 2 starts.

Day 14 saw me stitching on my 2009 boo club. I am going to love this one. I cannot remember what the fabric is but it sure is going to set it off nicely. I am missing a few colours but I have found at least a few substitutes that would work the only one that I feel won't work out very well is the substitute for Ocean but then again that colour isn't really a Halloween colour. I will find something that will work. As I want to work through my stash with this without buying anything. Here is how far I have gotten on this project: Day 15 saw me working on Celtic Spring. I was working on this fabric that made my hands feel dry and the fabric was so stiff. So I went through my stash and found this one. I was saving this fabric for Woodland Fairies but I felt that Celtic Spring would look good on it as well. The fabric is called Scattered leaves. Here is a picture of where I have gotten to:

I have been working on the model and have been trying to get back to where I have left off when I realized the mistake. I'm almost there. But now I'm going to concentrate on this one mostly and work on a UFO for the UFO sal.

The UFO I picked out to work on is Monopoly. I am so close to being done that I thought I'd work on it. I just have to finish GO and then the center and then I am finished. Here is a picture of what it looks like:

So I am ready for school now it's just the orientation to go through to get my student idea and that happens on the 27th. Then I start school on the 31st. I am excited about it.

It is starting to slowly warm up by the end of the week we will be in the 40's so I am happy about that instead of being in the negatives. I hope everyone has a great upcoming week

Day 12 and 13

I worked on Day 12 which was Wisconsin really didn't do a lot but I did get a few stitches in. Here is a picture of it:

So yesterday I worked on Day 13 which was 3 Faces of Santa. I restarted this design as I started a long time ago on cashell and hated it. I am currently stitching it on Silkweavers 28ct lugana it is a green color not sure what it is as it is one of their limited edition. I love the feel of the fabric it is so soft. Here is a picture of where I got to yesterday:

I have also been working on Advice From a Caterpillar for a SAL on the HAED bb. It ran from Friday to Thursday so here it is before :

I also worked on my model but have to rip all that I did out. I am so frustrated as I messed up somewhere and not sure where. But that's ok it will get all my attention tomorrow and Sunday.

Day 10 and 11

Well today started off slow lol didn't want to get out of my warm bed. And who can blame me it's flipping freezing everywhere. So I did get out of bed because I had to wake the girls up for school.

After they left for school I hoped on here grabbed my Day 11, plugged in a movie and went to work on it. Around 10 am MST I received a phone call. Now let me give you a bit of background about it first. Back in December I decided to go back to school for a Professional Legal Assistant. Well we decided to file for my funding online as I had received a student loan in the past and was able to obtain my certificate number for it. Also not to mention that loan was paid off in the first year after I finished school the first time so I was in really good shape on that. So I was told by the Finance officer that it shouldn't take too long because we did it online. Not the case I waited for about 3 weeks before they made their decision. Well with me being able to check on the status I was getting a bit worried *ok a lot worried lol*, so I called them yesterday. I waited for 45 minutes on the phone waiting for them to tell me they had no status I have until next Friday before I could find anything out. Frustrated beyond belief I said fine and hung up the phone so needless to say didn't feel like stitching much at all. I then decided to forget about checking the status until the following week. Now back to the phone call. I heard the phone ring this morning and as I was in my room I really didn't feel like going upstairs to grab it. Well I did go get it but nothing to really concern myself with as I knew that it was for the other half as I call him atm and he is at work so no point in answering to give him the message anyways. So as I was working on Day 11 I then got the phone call from the College I will be attending for my program and they said they got the approval today that I was able to proceed with the program. So needless to say I got off the phone excited that I got the funding and went to check online to be sure. I am so happy that I am able to go to school and not worry how I'm going to pay for it. I know I will have to worry about what I have to pay back but some is grant again so I don't have too much worries.

Now for stitching. Day 10 I worked on Firefly Fairies by Lavender and Lace and like I said earlier I was frustrated and didn't stitch much so here is the picture of it so far. At least I am a bit further on it lol

Day 11 saw me working on Guardian Spirits I can pretty much only work on this during the day while my adopted daughter is at school as this is a gift for her. She is of Native decent and her Native name is Lil' Grey Wolf. I also have the pack for her as well. So here is the progress on the little Wolf in the design. I know it doesn't look like much but I do like working on this.

So tonight I will work some more on the model and also work more on Advice From A Caterpillar. My goal on the last one is to finish a page and I know with working on it at least once a month I will get there. Tomorrow is Day 12 and it is Wisconsin's turn.

Day 8 and 9

Well as the weather is horrible here what better way to spend the time then by stitching. So this weekend I worked on the Model for Kustom Kraft I am really enjoying it. I also worked on my webpage a bit here is the link to check it out: http://threadsthroughtime.weebly.com/index.html

So Day 8 stitching is Spooky Welcome by Stoney Creek. I am going to love this design when it is done. Here is a picture of how much I got done. I didn't get much done but that's ok it has more in it then before lol.

For Day 9 I stitched on A Little Bit of Peace and Quiet I only worked with one colour but that is ok. Here is the picture of it. Not a bad start on this one.

I will be working now on my HAED that I am doing as part of the SAL. Also will be going back to the model. Day 10 is tomorrow and I get to work on Firefly Fairies I am so excited to get to that one.

Day 6 and 7

Day 6 was decided to be Athena but with me not feeling the greatest and a little agitated I didn't get much done. Here is the photo:

Day 7 was decided to be Dream by Lizzie Kate. I decided to take a day off of the model and stitched this up. I would of had this done but I messed up and had to rip most of it out and re-do it but I prevailed so when this gets picked up again I'm sure it will be finished.

I will be back on my model tomorrow during the day. Day 8 is Spooky Welcome so I will be working on that and also working on my Sal piece on the Heaven And Earth BB

Days 4 and 5

Well it has been a busy couple of days. I have finally got my fabric for the model so I have started that. I do time on the model and then move to mine for the SAL. I am really enjoying the model only challenge is it's on Navy Blue lol but I'm loving the challenge :) Sorry cannot show you what I'm stitching until it is released :) Let us just say a few people will be happy :)

As for Day 4 of the Crazy January SAL I have chosen two for that day. They aren't very big so I thought we will combine them. They are both Mill Hill Kits and I'm enjoying it.

So day 1 and 2 were posted so yesterday was day 3. Here is my progress on Celtic Christmas as it was my day 3. I like it better now on this fabric it is Sugar Maple fabric Douglas Fir.

Crazy January SAL

Well the first two days went off without a hitch. I decided to give myself a break from Monopoly and decided to work on a few of the new starts that I have started on January 1st. So I decided considering I already started 15 new projects on the first day of January that I'd join this Crazy January SAL. The objective is to start 15 new projects in 15 days. Which really isn't a problem for me lol. The challenge will be to finish them in 2011. Now that is Crazy I hope I make it :) Plus with a model to stitch and some of the ones that I have started already that I want to get near or completed this will be interesting lol

So one project I decided to work on was Snowman by Margaret Sherry. I did have to stop as I do not have one of the colours, which I will pick up tomorrow as I'm out and about tomorrow. So here is my progress on that. This is being worked on 28 ct blue evenweave that I had in my stash.

So with not having that one colour I am off and running on Santa's North Pole. It is being stitched on 28ct Hand painted linen called Nuthatch. Wow what an experience that one is. The fabric is beautiful but it has the sparklies in it and that gets a bit annoying. And the colour changes are amazing there is so much changes lol. I think HAED is mild by comparison on this chart. But I am loving it. It will be interesting to see if it will actually fit on the fabric. Here is the first part of the tree. I decided to backstitch as I go as there is so much backstitching. If I left it to the end it wouldn't get done. So here is the picture of it.

I am enjoying it. So we shall see what I feel like working on tomorrow :)

2010 In Review and 2011 Starts Long

Warning this post is going to be picture heavy.

What a Year many ups and downs through out 2010, more downs then ups but I did get through another year. I ended the year on a high however. I again this year did The Magic of Christmas *see previous post for pictures*, and again was a very rewarding experience. I did the hospitals again and the centre I went to was again touching. I thought of Rene La Frog when I was doing my rounds. I do believe we have touched some lives in a positive way. There was one gentleman that was touched by us caring for him on Christmas and giving him a stuffed animal. He asked about what the organization was. After we explained to him about it I gave him a hug he started to cry that I cared so much for him I am seriously considering going back to see him. One woman was touched because in her 91 years it was the first time she ever got a teddy bear. Another patient wanted a Koala because he was from Australia originally and I did find one for him cause all the kids in us know that "Santa Delievers". One case that interested me the most was a woman didn't want us to talk or look at her. But when I saw her eating lunch I was able to talk to her and made her smile, the aids were shocked as she is a very aggressive woman. I am glad I went. We did some random Elfing's and made a lot of people smile. That is the best gift ever!!

Not a lot of stitching was done for the year but I plan on making up for that. I still play WOW but not a lot as it has lost all interest even with the new expansion.

For the New Year I have 16 new starts planned, all for January 1st I also have a model stitching job for Kustom Kraft. Really looking forward to that. I have my first assignment but I have to wait for the LNS to open on Tuesday to get the fabric for it. Another thing I am looking forward to is going back to school. I am still waiting for the funding to be approved.

Well Christmas has come and gone and it was a good holiday. Everyone got what they wanted and that is good. Also did Magic of Christmas again this year and had a great time doing that. When I was doing it this year I thought of Rene from I-Love-Cross-Stitch yahoo group. Here is the pictures.It is a lot of fun and we all enjoy it all the time :)

For stitching I've been working on Monopoly. I will not be updating pictures of that till I am done. I am almost there. I'm just finishing Luxury Tax and then have Community Chest, Boardwalk, Mediterranean Avenue, and Go, then just the center and I'm done. I know I will get it done before Saturday then I get to do all 15 new starts lol. I got my Winter exchange in the mail today and will take a picture of it tomorrow to update as I have another parcel at the post office that I have to pick up. I want to thank Vickie S for the wonderful package.

Busy Month

I know I know I haven't updated in a while. Was working so much that I couldn't think straight. I then decided I had enough of the JOB and went my separate way. I needed to find something that I really wanted to do with my life. So the answer was clear and that I needed to go back to school so I went ahead and applied to be a Professional Legal Assistant. I am just waiting to see if I get the funding. The application was put in today but I'm currently waiting with crossed fingers lol.

As for Christmas I am ready and cannot wait for it all to be over. Tomorrow I have to make Perogies for Saturdays dinner. I am actually for once looking forward to it. The family again is doing Magic of Christmas and I am really excited that we are doing it. I will be bringing my camera this year and taking pictures :)

My Daughters decided to put up the tree really early this year. I think that was the whole reason I am looking forward to Christmas, here is the picture of the tree:

Onto stitching. I am still working on Monopoly and I am hoping I can finish it before the new Year. I need to have at least one finish this year lol. Here are all my pictures of Monopoly:

Update and Winner

I want to thank all of you for all your wonderful comments and a lot of interesting charts definitely were on everyones wishlist. I will have the winner for you at the end of this post.

Well we have received a lot of snow in the last 24 hours. I know you all are thinking well you live in Canada its suppose to be like that. And it is freezing currently we are at 9 F/-13C. Let me tell you it is a bit of a shocker to the system still lol. I have a video for you all to watch of my dog Thor playing in the snow

Also here is some pictures of what it looks like at the moment And it is still snowing here at the moment. We are suppose to have snow all week.

For my stitching I am still working on Monopoly. I didn`t feel I got a lot done but in reality I did as all I did all weekend when I was off was pretty much sleep so here is what it looks like now.

I am hopping that I will be done this in 2 weeks then I can move onto my HAED as that is my next project to stitch.

Monday Madness

Wow last week went so fast. I only had one day off last week and gosh I'm tired. I didn't do much stitching at all. But I did finish the pacific square on monopoly. I am almost done Connecticut Avenue. I am looking forward to getting this done. Here is the pictures of Monopoly

I did have a good weekend however a bunch of us went to Ranchmans it was a lot of fun and we all plan on going again. They have a mechanical bull there and two of my friends rode the Bull lol. I'll probably do it next time.

What a wonderful day this is for me. It is Samhain which is classified as a New Year. I love today as everything seems perfect. I'm not big into the trick or treating. I do love the costumes the kids wear as a lot of them look so cute and there is a lot of thought into them. My daughters were no exception to the rule. First I'll show you a picture of my Biological Daughter. She did all her own make up and that I'm proud of. They were able to wear their costumes to school on Friday. This is what my other Daughter *my daughter's best friend that lives with us* dressed up as. They had a great time. I actually did her make up as it was easier for me. She bought that black stuff that goes around the eyes but my daughter had black eyeshadow so I used that instead and it turned out a lot better.

Now for stitching. I have been working on Monopoly this week again and like I said will continue working on it until I get bored or finish it. Well I finished another square this week. I finished Just visiting/In Jail. I am glad to get that done. I really hated the backstitching on that square but it's done lol. Here is a picture of the square and of it overall. Another one I didn't show you that I stitched a while ago is Oriental Courage. I actually finished the dragon part of the design. Here is where I stopped on it.

I am so flattered I am at a Hundred Followers so I shall come up with a contest then so stay tuned on that one.

I do have a stitching update. I have been working on Monopoly since Friday. So here is an update on what I have done. I have finished Go To Jail Square and now working on Just Visiting/In Jail square. I plan on working on this one till I get either a) bored or b) it finished. I am striving to have it finished. So here are the pictures.

I will come up with a contest by next Sunday :) I hope you all enjoy my little update. I have been working nonstop lately so really tired and don't spend a lot of time on the computer. Hi everyone... Here's a little update on what is going on here. I have not dropped off the face of the earth at all. Just been busy with work. I am working at KFC/Taco Bell and just got promoted to Shift Manager. On my way to an Assistant Manager. I'm looking forward to that. I am slowly getting back to my stitching so will find time to do an update on that soon when I have something worthy to show. I am moving my bedroom to the basement as I need more room to relax in. I have 3/4's of my room moved just need to move more. Kids are all doing good in school having a few issues but that is normal in Highschool. Please send thoughts to my Grandmother she has a nasty cold and I am worried about her as she is not getting any younger. I love that woman more than anything and is a great roll model for me and my daughter to follow. I am trying to get caught up with blogs again and will get there eventually. You will all hear from me before Halloween lol.

Ok I wasn't going to update but I had to share lol. I ended up getting extremely bored of working on elfland. Just something about it made me not really feel like working on it so I switched it to my Mirabilia called Mermaid of the Pearls. I am looking forward to it getting completed. So here are two pictures of Mermaid of the Pearls. Here is a close up of where I was working on. Sorry it is so wrinkly as I hold it in hand.Another picture I wanted to show you is the new puppy. His name is Max and he is a Black Lab crossed with a Nose Pointer. He is extremely smart and sweet. Just have to still get him out of his bitting phase lol. As I said in my previous post I am leaving on Wednesday for Winnipeg. I'm going ahead with my original plans and moving on with my life. This needs to be done. I cannot wait to get a place a job and settled wish me luck :)

Anyways back to my stitching I decided to switch back to Advice from a Caterpillar. My Goals for August are posted on my blog on the left hand side. Have a great week

Wouldn't you know it two weeks in a row I updated lol. Mind you I am a couple days late. Just was really tired from work on Thursday and when I got home from work on Friday it was dark so I just left it for today. A lot has been going on here lately we are trying to get that basement cleaned up so I can move down there and then I'll have my very own space. It has been really hot here lately up to the Mid 80's I know it isn't hot for some of you but when you don't normally get this hot usually stays in the 70's which is nice it is different.

I have been trying to think of what I want to do with my life and which direction I want it to take and to be honest I'm stumped. I would love to go back to school but I'd also love to have my own business but we shall see. I have however figured out what I will be stitching come January 1st and I'm not usually that organized. I will put a list up in my blog when I get it all written down. As for my stitching I have decided to rotate only 3 projects until I can get them completed and then I will be replacing them with ones I have on the go. I have figured life is way to short not to get some finishes up on my wall.

So for stitching this week I have decided to work on Monopoly. I was going to work on the Chatelaine but as it's been hot I really do not want the oils in my hands to transfer to those beautiful silks. Plus it's easier to wash monopoly lol. I told my idea on how I want to frame it to my daughter's father and he agrees that it will look amazing :) The area I worked on this week was Electric Avenue, St. Charles Place, Marvin Gardens and Go To Jail. I would of gotten the last square done if it wasn't for the fact I played a little wow. I have decided to put a time limit on my Wow playing so I can get my stitching done lol. Here is the pictures of Monopoly.

So not to bad progress on Monopoly. I work on it again on the 30th of July to the 5th of August.

So this week will be Elfland I hope to have it finished either this week or the next time I pick it up. Here is where I left of. I am now on the last page of this one.

Winners and Update

Well as promised here is the winners of my Draw. The First chart Which is Dream a Little Dream goes to Kathy A and the second winner of te Britty Cup Kitties is Carolyn NC I will email you ladies to get your address' and whne I find where I put the charts I will mail them too you as I put them in a safe place as I was getting my bed moved into my room. Now onto my stitching update. This week was a rough stitching week cause my rotation was getting boring. I did stitch on 3 things. I stitched on Witchy Washy. Here is a picture of where I have gotten:

I also stitched on Oriental Courage. I did get a lot of black done still have quiet a bit to go here is the picture for that:

The week before I forgot to take a picture of my Chatelaine well here it is: All I have left on this is the half stitches in the coral and then only 3 more fish.

I got bored of stitching the Chatelaine and everything else so I started something new. I started HAED's Advice From a Caterpillar by Scott Gustafson. I had so screwed up when I started it the first time so I started over. It wasn't much but it's all good. So now I have been working on this since the 10th of March and have completed a lot. I am doing the UFO/SWIP SAL on the HAED board I have till Friday to work on it but I'm enjoying it so much I may keep going but we shall see. Here is where I started on this design for Friday: And this is where I am at right now so far: So I will keep going on this design.

As for the job front I am suppose to be in an orientation tomorrow but I did not receive any phone calls. So I talked to my daughter's father and he said just show up and see what they say as I cannot get a hold of the person who will be my manager. So that is what I will do. I will let you all know how it is going.

Sunday Update And a little Contest

Well the interview went well I was offered the job. But I also have another one on Monday and Tuesday. Also another one on Sunday.

Now for the stitching:) I did work on Monopoly as well and finished Water Works. Here is the picture:

I also finished page 1 of Elfland. As that is a sal at the Heaven And Earth Board I have to wait for page 2 to release on April 1st. Here is the picture of it now:

Mid Week Update

Well this week has been speeding by extremely fast. The stitching is going well so far and looks like I'm completely on track. As for the Job front it is coming along nicely actually. I have applied at almost 50 different jobs. I have an interview next week at a golf course. I also have an appointment with a temp agency on Friday. I am also going to be going to the school to see if I can get in. I'm at a cross road with school right now. I can either take a course dealing with Oil and Gas Administration *aka Receptionist* or I can go to Legal Assistant course. Not really sure which route as of yet to take as there will always be jobs in both. Decisions decisions lol. Anyways will be updating my stitching on Sunday.

ETA: Have a job interview tomorrow as well :)

February in Review

As this month draws to a close so does the 2010 Olympic Games. Congrats to all Countries that participated in the Olympics. I am proud that you came to my Country and Proud that you have the guts to do what so many dream of doing. I am truely a Proud Canadian today as we have won 14 Gold Medals and we have set a new record. My favorite part of the Olympics is our first gold medal won at home and the Women and Men's hockey team again defeating the United States in Hockey. Both games were great and really close. I am so glad that we support both Nations in Hockey. This is what peace is all about. Thank you for coming to Canada and you all are most welcome to come again.

As for stitching I really didn't get a lot accomplished, as I was away for about a week in my home town. I did finish the Monopoly square seen here:

So this month I'll be working on Water Works.

Also worked on Chatelaine Mystery XII. I almost have part 7 done. I will have part 7 done this month and will also finish up part 2. Here is the picture:

This month I also worked on Elfland. I was 100 stitches shy of my 2000 stitches goal. So March's goal is to finish the page. Here is the picture:

I also started to do an Olympic challenge with the 2muchxs yahoo group. I did not get it done as I was totally plagued with the frogs. I do plan on having it finished this month. Maybe during the Paraolympics. Who knows lol. Here is where I left off:

This month I also received my Valentine's Exchange. It showed up while I was out of town so it was nice to get it when I did get home. Here is what Pam gave me :

A lot has gone on in my personal life as well. I put my relationship with Kris on hold as right now I need to focus on me and getting me on my own feet. I am also looking at going back to school as well so we shall see how that goes. I have applied at a lot of jobs even if it seems I'm not qualified for them but you never know unless you don't apply. I will be back out tomorrow to apply to more and also on Wednesday. Wish me Luck.

Tuesday Update

Well I made it back safe and sound. The trip was uneventful going out but eventful going. I almost became a hood ornament on a trucker trailer. He was passing a sanding truck and didn't realize I guess or wasn't paying attention that I was there. But after that it became uneventful again.

As for stitching I only worked on Witchy Washy. Wow what a fustrating design to stitch lol. I am working on 36 ct 2 over 2 SMF Hypnotic. I had to redo the tree 5 times before it was right. I am so fustrated. I started that on the 12th and hope to finish by the 28th as that is when the olympics end. As for my other goals probably won't accomplish two of them but that's ok :) Here is the picture of Witchy Washy

My Sunday Update on a Friday

I thought I'd post my update tonight on the eve of me leaving to go East for a week. I am looking forward to the trip but aprehensive at the same time. I know we will be fine and all will be well. I am taking some stitching with me. I am taking Oriental Courage and also Witchy Washy. I just started witchy washy tonight for the Olympic challenge I have to start it at the beginning of the olympics and finish it by the end of the Olympics. I felt life was too short not to start something lol.. I will be taking a lot of pictures on my way out and back so it will be cool. I am also taking my laptop so I can at least post to my blog. Unfortunately there will be no pictures as I cannot find my cord for my camera. Oh well.. Here is how far I have gotten on Mystery XII I will have part 7 done when I get back not much left now :) The other update I have for you is Oriental Courage. As this one is coming with me I may as well show you what I have done so far and will show you what I have done when I got back.

Wow Sunday

Cannot believe it is Sunday already. It has been a busy week here at Chez Terri lol. First bit of news is I am offically heading to Ontario to pick up my daughter's BF WOOT. I will be leaving either on the 12th or 13th as my daughter is off the week after so she is coming with me so I can spend time with my family in Thunder Bay before I head to the Sue. I am taking my Camera and will be taking pictures and I am taking my laptop. Have to find the cord for my camera lol.

This week's stitching has been awesome except Tuesday. Not sure what happened there lol. So here is my stitching for the week. I already showed you my January Finish for the Exchange. I was so fustrated with the finishing that I just cliped it to the card and told Emily that she can take it off and finish it the way she wanted. I was so mad at myself I really tried to put eyelits in but I was so upset. So I will stitch something and try again :) I worked on Monopoly and finished States Avenue on the Monday I am glad I got that finished. Here is the Picture:

After Monopoly I worked on my UFO Tuesday. The Yahoo Group I hang out at a lot lol has UFO Tuesday ILCS :) For that I put my Chatelaine Mystery XII as my UFO as I really want to get it done. I didn't really do much stitching but I hope to get a lot more done this Tuesday. Here is the Picture:

The next project I worked on was my Elfland it is a SAL this Thursday one week to Friday the next week. I am really loving this design. I am almost at my goal already but even if I meet it I'll keep going and finish the page. I have a feeling I will have the page done by Wednesday and if that is the case my Mermaid of the Pearls will slide in until I get the next page in April. Here is the Picture:

Yesterday was the Virtual Stitch In. Again I had a great time. I sat here in front of my computer as that is the only place I have to stitch and worked on Oriental Courage. I did over 600 stitches and getting close to finish page 1 on it. I love this design and it is going to look good in my darling Kris' book when I finish it off and send it to him. Here is a before picture to show you how much I got done: And here is the After on where I stopped last night: 600 stitches plus some that was a lot of stitching. I will be taking this project with me when I go to Thunder Bay as this one only has 11 colours and takes up very little space :) Today I'll be working on Elfland and tomorrow between laundry loads I'l lowork on OC. Month In Review.

Well January went really fast. Saw a lot of ups and downs. Everyone here has been sick at least once. A few twice. I am thankful I've only been sick once. *Knock on Wood*

January saw me actually complete my goals at the first of the month so I decided to put an extra item into the mix. That extra item is the bookmark I'm working on for my dear love Kris. I gave up on hiding it from him as he loves my stitching and wants to learn so of course I sent him some to do :) Here is the before picture of Oriental Courage. And here is the picture of it now

I also worked on Elfland this month and my goal was 1000 stitches and was extremely attainable so I intended to stop there. Here is the picture of it with 1000 stitches:

Well I couldn't stop I loved working on this so much that I did another 1000 stitches on it. So I completed 2000 stitches total on this. I am getting a bit of a ripple effect as there is so much bulge on the back but will fix when I stretch it which is great. I will be giving this to my daughter who now is getting into reading. Here it is after 2000 stitches:

Another project I worked on was my Mystery XII The Caribbean. I love the colours on this. They are so vibrant and bright and rich I love it. I finished part 11a in January and it is looking fantastic. I love it so far. Here is part 11a: And here is it over all:

The last project I worked on was Monopoly. I am right on track with my goals. I did finish the February square already which I am happy about :) but you will get to see that on Sunday lol. Here is Ventor Avenue: And here it is overall:

So my goals for February are:

1. Finish States Avenue on Monopoly *check done lol*

2. Finish Part 7 on Mystery XII *working on that now*

3. Finish 2000 Stitches on Elfland *that one is up next*

4. Finish Page 1 on Oriental Courage

I also had a finish in January but as that was for the Valentine's day Exchange on the ILCS group I will share that when the person receives it in the Mail. I sent it yesterday so I hope she receives it in plenty of time :) The last photo I thought I'd share with all of you is one of my precious puppy. Well he's really not a puppy anymore he is 8 but he is such a sweet spoilt dog and he is handsom. Here is Thor:

He is a true Canadian dog as in Canada and I know there is about 100 shops in the Eastern US of Tim Hortons he is a Timbit dog which is just the doughnut holes for those who don't have Timmies. He is bugging me for some more as he knows he has 2 left on the counter lol...

The Olympic Torch In My Home Town

Yesterday was an emotional day for Us here in Okotoks. We had the Olympic Torch come through town. I really wished I could see it but unfortunately I was so sick. Here are the pictures. The First few are at town hall where the torch was passed to another lucky Recipent.

Here is the coke truck they were handing out flags for us. They have always been a huge sponser of the Olympics.

This truck is to get the crowd excited for the torch.

And the beauty of the Olympic torch. It really makes me proud to have the Olympics in Canada. My daughter got to see it too which I was extremely happy about. I know she will never forget it. Like I did the first time in 1988 when Calgary hosted the olympics.

Security was tight. Which was good.

As for stitching I do have a finish but cannot show it as it's for the ILCS Valentine Exchange I have to finish it into a card. And get it out hopefully will get it done this weekend. Also worked on a bookmark that I cannot show as the recipent reads my blog. I will have a stitching update on the weekend as I went back to Elfland .

Not a lot of stitching done. But that's ok. Have to take a trip to Ontario to pick up my daughter's best friend. I'm looking forward to going back but not looking forward to crossing the prairies.

I do have a picture to share of a Breakfast that I made. It was fantastic. I used Milk instead of Cream as I didn't have cream but wow it was soooo good.. I got the Recipe off of Food Network here is the picture and recipe.

Baked Eggs with Canadian Bacon, Spinach, and Aged Cheddar

Ingredients
3 tablespoons unsalted butter, plus more to butter ramekins
2 tablespoons minced yellow onion
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
6 ounces baby spinach
4 slices Canadian bacon
4 large eggs
1/4 cup heavy cream
1 ounce grated aged Cheddar, plus extra for serving
Sourdough bread
Directions
Heat oven to 350 degrees F and arrange rack in middle. Butter 4 (6-ounce) ramekins and set aside.
Melt 1 tablespoon butter in a large frying pan over medium heat. When it foams, add onion, season well with salt and freshly ground black pepper, and cook until softened, about 1 minute. Add spinach and cook until spinach is well wilted, about 2 minutes.
Place ham on bottom of ramekins and top with spinach. Crack eggs into ramekins, place 1 tablespoon cream over each egg, and divide half of cheese evenly among ramekins.
Put ramekins on a baking sheet and bake, rotating pan halfway through baking, until whites are just set but yolks are still runny, about 15 to 18 minutes.
Meanwhile, spread remaining 2 tablespoons butter on 4 slices sourdough bread. Top with grated cheese and toast until golden brown. Serve eggs with toast.

Friday Already?!

Wow this week went fast. Been having an up and down week but its really looking up now :)

So I ended up finishing part 11a on Chatelaine so that goal is done. Here is a picture of what it looks like now.

Also had the goal to finish 1000 Stitches on Elfland SK. And finished that too. So I am going to have to make bigger goals for February. Here is Elfland.

So now I'm working on an item for Kris and I can't show it here as it is a surprise and he reads my blog lol. I can show you my Beer BBQ Sauce that I made today. It tastes really good and will be good on the steak tomorrow.

Recipe for this is really simple:

1/2- 1 cup of ketchup

1/2 cup of brown sugar

1/4 cup vinegar

1/2 of a bottle of Flat Beer. *I used Rickards Honey Brown Canadian Beer*

1 tsp of mustard. Didn't have dry mustard so used French's

heat to a boiling point add about 1/2 cup of Water as the beer reduces.

Cool then put in a jar.

It tastes really good.

Also decided to make some packaged cookies as I am to lazy right now to do it by scratch as I cleaned up my kitchen. GAWD it was horrible. SO I made Peanut Butter Cookies and cleaned up after myself lol. Here is a picture.

Rotation, Rotation, Rotation?

Well I have been attempting to do a good rotation now that I am back to my stitching. And honestly it is working WOOT lol. Was thinking of doing 4 a month but then really thought it through and thought that it wouldn't be a good idea as I'd get so tired of working on them all. So my rotation is going to be:
1. One square a Month still on Monopoly.
2. Chatelaine Mystery XII until it is finished.
3. Elfland until it's finished.

So once the two are done they will be replaced with other projects. Chatelaine will be replaced by Mermaids of the Pearls, and Elfland will be replaced by Water when the time comes. I am excited to get chatelaine done. I do have a long way to go still but I can't wait to get it done.

I have been cutting back on WOW which I am happy with that game breads a lot of drama and it is something I don't need. I do hope you all are staying warm or cool and have a great week.

First January Update

Wow how time flies. It's already the 3rd of January in 2010. And my daughter goes back to school tomorrow.. WOOOOT... lol... Anyways On the First of January I was working on Monopoly and did get Ventor Avenue done on Saturday lol. I did start it though but was so tired as I haven't been sleeping well at night. So here is Monopoly.

On Saturday I hosted a Virtual Stitch in and it was great fun. Had a really great response. A lot of people joined in with me and I am sure they will blog about it. It was so much fun that it will be a monthly thing. So every month on the first Saturday of the Month we will have a Virtual Stitch in. All you have to do is sit down whatever time zone you are in and stitch and blog about it. That is it really simple. So I worked on Elfland and Mystery XII. I got 300 stitches in on Elfland and finished 2 butterflies on part 11. Here are the pictures.

2009 In Review

2009 started like most years quietly. Which I totally love. But as the year went by things didn't happen to be quiet. There was lost jobs, lost loves also new loves and the final realization that it was time to move on in our lives. But I will get into that a bit further. Let's just say Kris Thank you for being my love and my rock when I needed someone the most.

Ok for Stitching for the year I really didn't get a lot accomplished. I signed up for my first Mystery through Chatelaine called Mystery XII. I am still working on it and it is comming along nicely. Here are the pictures from Start till now:

I kept changing my rotation with my stitching but another constant was Monopoly. I really enjoy stitching it and I am completely caught up with it. I do a square a month so I am right on track for the New Year. Here are the pictures for this:

Another Stitching Project I worked on had me extremely fustrated to say the least. That project was Water by HAED. I started it over again this year as the fabric was to small but it looks good. Mind you I haven't picked it up in a while.

Another piece that hasn't seen the light of day is Mermaid of the Pearls but she will be worked on again in the New Year. Revelations has been set aside as well but oh well.
I did finish one project but as that was at my last job. I have not received anything back so I chalk it up to a lesson learned.

My stitching goals for 2010 are:
1. Finish Chatelaine Mystery XII
2. Start and finish Elfland SK Sal on the HAED board.
3. Finish Monopoly to Vermont Avenue.
4. Get 3 pages Completed in Water.

So not bad list very small and very doable..

Between taking a huge stitching break and playing World of Warcraft, the constant fighting with my daughter's father things are changing in my life. The New Year will see me moving. Not till June however as I refuse to move in the winter. The papers are going to be filed on the Divorce. A new wonderful man named Kris is in my life and has helped me get through everyday here. I do not know what I would do without him. Thank you my love.

I do wish everyone a very Happy New Year. Many blessings and love to all..

Hello all..
It has been a really busy week this week. I am slowly getting back to my stitching. As a lot of stuff is happening in my life. I am keeping my chin up and focusing on me. I will be here till June as I refuse to move in the winter time so that is good news. I have met the most wonderful man though and even though we live so far apart I'm still a very happy person. Currently I am working on my Mystery XII and working on Part 10. I have a long way to go. But I still love it and enjoy working on it. I have been playing WOW a lot and now getting to the point where I'll be cutting back on my play time and put more back into my stitching. I will be posting my yearly and Monthly Goals again. As for the Blog of the Month I may Continue it or I may not I have yet to decide. I absolutly am ok and hope you all had a great Christmas and will have a great New Year.

I haven't been around as I have been sick for a couple months. My house has suffered and my stitching has suffered. I hope to be almost back to full strength but will be MIA a bit in the New Year.
The reason I say that is I will be off on a new adventure. Ron and I are making it official and that we are now going to move on with our lives without each other. I'm a little sad but glad at the same time. So I will be relocating. Where I do not know yet. But I have time to figure all of that out. I don't want you all to be sad for me. Be glad that I am strong enough to make this move.
Keep a look out on this space for updates. As there will be some :)

This month's blog is a great blog for the cook, the stitcher and the Homeschooler. Lisa has a lot of strength and is a wonderful strong woman with 4 wonderful children. She loves to share what her children learn in Homeschooling and loves to share her love of crafting with her children and the rest of us. Lisa's blog is a wonderful testament to good fashion values that people forget at times. Thank you Lisa for sharing your blog with us. Here is the questionnaire that she has filled out for me.

1. What made you Start Stitching/Quilting?
Lisa-When I was in college I needed a hobby of some sort and my mother had been cross stitching for years (she mainly does linen) so she offered some of her stash and to teach me, I loved the ability to pack it up and take it with and then in between classes sit in the common area and stitch (though I had a lot of raised eyebrows coming my way!).

2. What is your favourite Designer?
Lisa-I have to admit a weakness for Teresa Wentzler. I got hooked on her when I did my first linen project - a green and gold dragon with Chinese symbols in the border. I am currently working on Rapunzel by her as well!

3. If you can learn one technique, what would it be?
Lisa-I would love to learn to tat... my Grandma used to do pieces right in front of us as gifts when she visited and it has always fascinated me!

4. What made you start blogging?
Lisa-I wanted to put up some of my finished sewing and the kids' school stuff (we are homeschooling) and after one entry I was hooked! It is great to be accountable for my day and my promises and to have the opportunity to share my ups and downs! And my stitching of course!

5. Do you have any tips for the aspiring stitcher/quilter?
Lisa-Start small and don't get discouraged. Try different mediums until you find your favourite and don't be afraid to experiment with supplies, colours and patterns!

6. If you can meet someone either Living or Dead, who would it be?
Lisa-I think I would love to meet my great grandparents... they were such strong people and I have pictures of some of them and myself as an

7. What tips do you have for people who want to start their own blog?
Lisa-Make it personal to you... you don't have to cover everything but be sure to make it yours. Try to find someone who is knowledgeable about computers to help you set it up. That way you don't have to worry about things working or looking their best!

Let it snow, Let it snow, Let it SNOW???

Yes folks we have snow. It is a balmy 32 Degree's F or 0 Degree's C. Yep and we have snow. They are fat flakes that are falling right now. It does look beautiful but it is way to early to have snow. This is the picture out my front window. We have about an inch of snow and doesn't look like it will let up anytime soon. Good thing I have no where to go today and another good day for stitching till my heart is content.

As for stitching. I have caught up Monopoly. I finished Pennsylvania Railroad. Didn't really take me long but there is one goal completed. I do enjoy working on it. Here is a picture of it.

The next project I am trying to catch up is my Mystery XII. I worked on Part 9 in one corner this week and did manage to get it finished. And here it is overall

Right now I am working on Water by Teri Rosario through Heaven and Earth Designs for the Sal. So I will show you what I have done next weekend. Happy Stitching.

This Month's Blog of the Month is one of my personal favourites. It is called Our Haed Sal Blog. This is a very eloquent blog that provides a hundred members to show their work of one of our favourite designers, which is Heaven and Earth Designs. I have asked both the Creators, Cindy and Wendy, some questions on why they felt their blog is such a success to all stitchers and all who visit.

The first question I asked both Cindy and Wendy was; What made you both decide to create this blog?
Cindy Said 'I loved how Michele and Bob transform beautiful artwork into Cross Stitch Designs. It is like painting a picture but with thread.
Wendy Said 'I love the designs of HAED, it is like paintings. The reason for this blog is to encourage everyone to finish these nice pieces of art so they won't become an UFO.'
For those of you who don't know a UFO stands for UnFinished Object.

The next question I asked Cindy and Wendy was; Did you expect your community to get such a successful response?
Wendy Said 'We (Cindy and I), never thought it would become so successful, but it is fun. Especially we get to make and have new friendships and share our love of crafting. Also had some nice support from Michele of HAED and offered to do the first Giveaway. '
Cindy Said 'Michele of HAED wrote us with incredible support, even posting about our blog on her board and being generous as Michele and Bob are offered the first giveaway.'
In order to be a part of the giveaway you do have to be part of the community.

The third question I asked the ladies was; Would there be anything you could change about the blog?
Cindy said 'Have more members."
Wendy also agreed with Cindy on having more members. They would like more space for more members.
So if any of you talented webpage designers could think of a way to help these ladies out that would be great.

Forth question that was asked is; Do you have any tips for new bloggers out there?
Both Cindy and Wendy agreed to this 'If you have a specific forum, stick pretty close to it. But also be open to suggestions.'

Fifth question that was asked is; What tips do you have for new HAED stitchers?
Cindy said 'Do not get overwhelmed by the size of the number of pages. Just enjoy the process'
Wendy said 'It is a hobby so enjoy it and don't make a race of it. Every stitch that you do no matter how small is progress'

The final question I asked was; What was your first HAED Patterns that drew you to the HAED website?
For Cindy it was the Christmas Designs nad the amazing details and colours.
For Wendy it was the pattern that she saw Cindy stitch. She wanted to sart one also. Her first pattern is The Land of Enchantment by Scott Gustafson. Wendy would love to stitch a lot more of the HAED Designs.

Interesting Tuesday

I know I usually update on Sunday but been slacking until today. I was going to update earlier today but we had a power outage in the area. It is now back on obviously.

So Saturday went to my stitch in and did some work on my Chatelaine. I finished Part 3c. Here is a picture of it.

On Sunday I decided to switch over to Monopoly to get it caught up Finished B. & O. Railroad.

I have a lot more accomplished on the Chatelaine but you all have to wait till Sunday to see that

Wow time flies when you are having fun. It has been a wonderful warm weekend here which is very unusual for us. We should be getting back to our Normal high's sometime next week they are saying. By Wednesday we are suppose to get to about 85F/29C. I did a little bit of World of Warcraft playing but not a lot. I did do more stitching.
I worked a bit on Part 3c on my Mystery XII but was finding Water by HAED screaming at me so I had to appease it and finish off another page. So I only have a little page left to finish right across the bottom of that piece. So now I'm either going to work on Part 3c of Mystery XII or I'm going to do another square on Monopoly. My rotation now is consisting of 3 pieces. Which is Monopoly, Mystery XII and Water. And I have it set up on which pieces go into the spot when the project is finished. We shall see how this one goes. But without further adu here is Water with 4 pages completed. The definition in the Coral is totally amazing.

Wednesday Update

Well It is mid-week and all of it came crashing down. I won't go into detail but according to my daughter I'm a bad mom. Meh she is a teenager after all.

As for Stitching this week I joined into the UFO/SWIP Sal at the HAED board. I worked on Water. Was getting tired of the pink so went up to another page and worked on the blue. I'll have to get back to the pink as there is a lot more pink to go. So here is a before picture:

So after Water I went back to my Mystery XII Chatelaine and finished Part 2c. Here is a picture of it:

Good Morning...

Was going to do an update on Monday but it ended up turning out to be a busy day. My daughter had her first day of school on Monday and she said she had a great day. This is Day 3 on her schedule and she is really enjoying it still. Even though she gets very sore at gym. On the home front, my washer is broken so waiting for the other to fix it. So waiting impatiently as I have a ton of Laundry to work on. I did get my kitchen cleaned up just have a few dishes to clean up then wipe counters sweep and mop the floor.

In stitching news I finished Part 6 of the Mystery XII yesterday. It was really late and I was tired otherwise I would of updated yesterday. I have to figure out how to get a small coffee stain out of my fabric without getting the silks and blended wet. The good thing is it's not near the stitching. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. So here are the pictures of Part 6.

I also put up my goals for September we shall see if I can complete them. I didn't complete any of them for August but that is ok.

Well I'm off to try and keep cool. It has been Unusually hot out here. Yesterday was 82F/28C and today is going to be about the same. Have a happy stitching day.

Mid Week Update

I thought I'd do a bit of an update but got a bit distracted with watching, So You Think You Can Dance Canada and The Next Food Network Star, I totally forgot to type this up.

Things are slowly getting better here. My daughter starts school On Monday. I'm so excited for her. 3 more years and she will be in College YIKES... LOL

I have been working on Chatelaine Mystery XII The Caribbean. It is coming along so nicely. I have finished Part 4a. I have put it in sections so it doesn't seem overwhelming. I am now working on Part 6 which is the boat. Really debating on part of the water to do half x's or full x's What do you all think?? Here it is so far.

Well that is all for tonight. I'm off to bed. Sweet dreams to you all... Or Good Afternoon to all my Southern Hemisphere friends......

Monday Update

I know not really a catchy title. But it is an update to say the least. I have not been feeling up to blogging as there was so much crap going on in my life. That I needed to take care of it before I felt up to blogging.
I'm not going to go into details just let's say I have a lot more time on my hands right now. SO I went back to stitching. At the begining of August I was working on Monopoly. I did end up finishing community chest and Illinois ave. So here are the pictures of that.

A few of my stitchy friends got a hold of me and wanted to do a stitch group. So I said sure why not. I really needed to get out. So I brought the supplies for working on a haed for my daughter it's the letter k but don't have any pictures on it cause I really didn't do much on it. I also brought my Mystery XII by Chatelaine as I really needed to work on it again as it was very poorly neglected. I did work on part 3 while I was there. But that dang Medallion of the flamingo really drove me nuts. I ripped it out 4 times. I did finally get it completed. I was going to go to the next part of part 2, but as there is 8 parts already released and part 9 will be released soon I thought I'd head to the part 4 and work on that on the right side. Then I'll work on Part 6 on the right side. With all that decsions I was printing fine on my other printer. Well I was being a clutz and spilt coffee all over my printed charts. Boy was I mad. So I tried printing them again on my coloured printer. It really didn't turn out so I went looking at the staples.ca website and lo and behold they have a laserjet printer on for 150.00 and it was a colour one too. WOOT off I go to the store sure enough they have it so I bought it. I love the printer, and now I can have better coloured copies. YAYYY. But back to the Chatelaine, I'm really like working on it again. So here is part 3 completed and the start of Part 4.

We went off as a family to Banff and had a wonderful time. I'll upload the pictures on a later date. We went to a great Restaurant called Grizzly Steak. It is pricey but the food was great. It is a fondue place and it was worth eating there. Anyways have a great week. Happy stitching.

Where has the time gone. It seems like yesterday we just started this year off. Well I came home sick. It is so hot that I have a huge migrane. SO here is my update.

For Stitching I started working on Water for the Sal on Thursday and This weekend. Here is the before picture:

So this week I hope to work on Community chest and also Mermaid of the Pearls. For Cooking. Sunday Update

WOW it's actually Sunday. And I'm updating lol. I've been working nights I have 3 more to go. Really happy about that. So without further adu here is my stitching progress. I started with Dream by Lizzie Kate. This project is my work project. I finished it on Friday so now I have my first finish of the year.

Yesterday I went to a 12 hour stitching for Christmas in July. I bought some fabric and threads for my next projects. Unfortunately I do not have pictures of this but they will come. I stitched a bit on Monopoly it was so hot about 35-40 Celsius that's about 80-95 Fahrenheit so it was really hard to stitch. But I pervailed. I got a bit of the Community Chest Square done. Mostly the writing the chest was giving me a hard time. So I have to try and get that done. Here is the picture

The next thing I worked on and what I focused on was Water. I'm almost done page 40. I really like working on this one so far. So here is my progress for it.

Monopoly

Well it wasn't a total waste so far this week. I've been working nights so my time is a little limited on my stitching. I have one more week of nights left to do. But I did finish a square of Monopoly. I finished Indiana so that means that I have finished a page. Yayyy me lol. I am also almost done my work project called Dream by Lizzie Kate. It is looking great. I only have 3 or 4 more rows of a colour to do then it will be done. Should be done on Friday. And then I'll bring it home take a picture and share. After I finish that I'll start Love. Once they both are done then they will be made into a cube. I will be going to the lns tomorrow to pick up my other ones by Lizzie Kate for the Halloween one. Those will be my new work project.

Randomness

So here was a big debate that I have had. I know that mostly this is a stitching blog. But why start a new one when I can just talk about randomness. My daughter just got back from Vegas not that long ago and had a good trip with her father to meet some agents. Well we were successful. We just have to send a thank you card and a picture to jog the memory of the Agent. We received another phone call just two days ago to have her go back to IPOP. I think we will wait for a bit till we get money to send her again. Definitely Vegas wasn't a waste of a trip.

I know long time no hear. First I want to say Kim I haven't forgotten your prize I will be able to work on it soon and get it out to you. I have not done much crafting at all due to work and then playing a bit of WOW. I am now going to be limitting my time on wow and getting back to my crafting.

My daughter has been in Las Vegas for the last 5 days with her Father. They have been staying at the Venetian for IPOP She did really well this time around. She did get another Honorable mention and also had 2 call backs. She met with one agent and it is looking good. SO I'm really hopping it happens fast for her.

So that's my news. Will hopefully be back to my stitching soon. I have started a new project but you will see when I get to a certain point. Plus dh has my camera so can't take a picture

Well I was going to update yesterday after I got home from work but alas it didn't work out that way. I had a really good friend call me and he was in town so I decided to visit with him instead.

I worked on Tarot of Dreams but still not really getting anywhere with all that blue. So I decided to stitch. I unfortunately didn't get a picture of Tarot of Dreams as there isn't enough to show. The one I switched to was Water. I did get another page done. So now I have 2 pages done and working on the 3rd. Here is the picture of it so far

Then with getting back to the blue in Water I decided to stitch on Monopoly. I finished another square in no time. I finished the Chance Square. Here is a picture of it

After I finished the square I decided to go and work on the Mystery XII by Chatelaine. I got really far on it. I have finished another part of Part 2 so It is slowly coming along. Here is a picture of it And here it is over all

Well I am off work for Tuesday and Wednesday so I'll be getting a lot of stitching done I hope.

March in Review

This Month was the start of some interesting weather. We have had a lot of snow this month and I'm really sick of snow. Here is a picture of what we have received so far.

Ok so this month started off with a new start called Tarot of Dreams. I haven't gotten really far on it but it will come along slowly.

After I worked on this one I worked on Water. I did finish a page. A lot of pinks and reds. It is looking great on the shading.

Then I started back on the Chatelaine. I finished a square of part 2 and finished a part of 3 and almost done the second part of 2. It's coming along nicely.

And finally I finished New York Square on the Monopoly Square.

Right now I am working on FFA Page 4. I have most of my goals completed.

I have been so tired so I haven't really done much stitching. So hopefully in April I'll have more time to stitch. Here are my goals for April:

1. Finish Monopoly Chance
2. Finish Parts 2-4 Mystery XII
3. Finish Page 4 FFA
4. Start Page 2 Revelations
5. Finish Page 1 Baby Ghosts

Sunday Update

Well I have finally have some pictures to share with my update. Stitching went really well this week. I only did a little bit during the week but on Saturday is when I got a lot done.

First I will Start off with Water. I wasn't going to work on it on Thursday For Our Friends' HAED SAL but I changed my mind on Thursday to go ahead and do it. I was almost at completing the page after working on it I decided to keep stitching on it on Friday and a small part on Saturday. So I finished page 37 and all the reds and pinks of the page. This Goal has been completed this month.

After Water I worked on Chatelaine. I decided to break the parts down to parts. So I worked on Part 2 of 1 And ended up finishing it. I haven't put the beads in yet but as soon as I start Part 4 I'll put beads in Part 1 and continue that way. It looks really good. I have also started Part 3 of 1 but You will see that update next Sunday :) So My Goal of Starting Part 3 this month has been completed.

Another Goal I completed this month but don't have a picture of it as it's all black and really nothing to see right now is Baby Ghosts. I started it On March 1st. I hope to work on it more next month as I'm working with Revelations as I'll rotate between the two.

Another Goal I completed already this Month is Monopoly Sq NY. I finished that last night at about 11:30. It turned out wonderful. So next months goal is to work on the Chance Sq.

So Now I only have 3 more goals to complete. And they are: Start FFA *which I'll be doing once I finish Part 3 of 1*, Finish Part 2 of the Mystery XII, and Finish Work Project *which I am almost done the border of*.

Mid-Week Update

Hi everyone. Wow I'm actually on time for my Mid-Week Update lol. I thought I'd actually share pictures with you today. I have taken a picture of my Tarot of Dreams, and my new Stitchers Cabinet. I'll take pics of Chatelaine Mystery XII on Sunday. I'm really enjoying stitching them. I have been picking up my stitching for a little while each day and it's working out. I haven't done much on the work project but I have done some. I should be able to get the border done either by Friday or Monday we shall see. Work is going really well. Did more shadowing today and it was good. Actually got to type on the computer. Tomorrow we are back into training classes and I'm looking forward to finally get all of that done. Well now for the pictures for you all to see :)

I know I haven't been updating. Well I haven't been stitching much or at all and I haven't been on the computer as when I get home I'm so tired. I have started working on my Tarot of Dreams I'll be working more on it today. Tomorrow I'm going to a cross stitch in and will be bringing Monopoly with me and also my Chatelaine. I have not managed any of my goals right now but will be working everything out. Work is going good and I'm really enjoying it. Next week we were suppose to have more training but they are rolling out a new phone system and I get to see that roll out. Then Training will resume. I will be leaving my work project at work as soon as I get my bin. Then I won't have to bring so much crap with me. But anyways Have a great weekend.

Ok So now it's the weekend. And I have not picked up any stitching at all. I haven't even touched my work project. I had a really long week. The commute was trying at times as the weather was bad 2 days out of the week. But I still made it ok. The week was a busy one. Learned a lot about the company and everything so it was good. Next week we learn how to use the tools. I'm really looking forward to it. As I'm getting bored with my stitching I thought I'd try working on a new one. I wasn't really sure which one I'd like to work on so I found a really beautiful one It's a new one by Marchetti. It's called Tarot of Dreams. It's a beautiful one. I absolutely love the looks of this. So I decided to go ahead and have a little fun. Here is what it will look like. So without having any stitching to update. I will not be updating tomorrow. I know was suppose to update yesterday. Well got home from work and didn't feel like doing much. I have a lot more energy today then I did yesterday. Training so far is going well. I'm enjoying it. We had done some shadowing yesterday. It was great. I haven't done much stitching this week. I have been bringing my work project and really should bring it out but been getting to know some co-workers. I did get a bit of the border done but will hopefully work on some stitching tonight. I actually feel up to it. I've been drinking 2 coffees a day where I usually only do one. But It's still all good. Anyways just wanted to do a little update. This week's picture is one of my daughter and DH at icefishing.

February In Review

Wow this month went by so quickly. Before I get into the stitching update I do have good news to report. I am going back to work on Monday. I'm really happy. I'll be at a Call Center working as a Tech Support Rep (TSR) with Shaw Cable. The commute is going to be rough but I know I'll love this job. Julie who will be my boss was very excited that I accepted the position as we got along really well in our first Interview together. So it will be great. Plus I get a discount on my cable, internet and phone. I also get benefits right away and also 2 weeks vacation right away. I'm really happy about this. Now on to stitching.

This month saw me start off with Monopoly. I did finish Square number 2 which was Kentucky Square. I really enjoy stitching this as it's a fun pattern.

After this I did start the Kustom Kraft Mystery. I did not get my goal done to get page 1 done. I just couldn't get into it. I really do not know why.

After KK Mystery I went ahead to finish page 1 of Revelations. It took me 4 weeks to complete just one page. I was so glad to move off of that one. But it does look good and you can see Part of her Wing and Part of the Butterfly on page 2.

I then started Mystery XII by Chatelaine. I love working on this. It is coming along nicely. Here is part 1 finished and a Part of Part 2 that I have gotten done

Part 3 is out and So I'm going to start that soon as well.

After totally getting fustrated with the Ripples in Wild Horses I decided to walk away from it. So in it's place I'm putting Baby Ghosts. That is to be started in March as I'm going to do it as part of a contest. And for that contest I commited in doing 2 pages.

Then I turned my attention to Water and found that I'm not going to have enough fabric. That really made me mad as I already finished page 1. So I decided to scrap it again and start over. I am bound and determined to work on this so I started again on Page 37 which is the bottom left corner. There are only 1920 stitches not enough going on in this page to take a picture of it. So here is my colouring of the chart.

I also turned my attentions to playing Sims2. Who knew that game was addicting. I haven't played much lately as I'm trying to get laundry done so I have clothes for work.

So yesterday after finding out I had the job *YAYYYY* lol. I decided to treat myself with a work project so I bought a Lizzie Kate Double Flip it that says Dream and love, I also got the weeks and gast to do it with, the fabric to do it on and another Star Detailor as I couldn't find mine.

Also found out when I was at the mall that my contract was almost up so I signed another one and got an iphone. It is really cool. I have seen them before they came to Canada as a friend that I worked with at Best Buy had one.

My daughter also had her Grad photo's done. They turned out beautifully and it was really hard to pick. We decided on Image 3.

So my goals for March are

1. Finish New York *will do this at the Stitch in this Month*

2. Start Baby Ghosts for Contest in Mystic Stitch Group

3. Finish Part 2 and Start Part 3 on Chatelaine Mystery

4. Finish a Page in Water *Starting bottom left so I almost have Page 37 done*

I really haven't stitched much over the weekend as I was fustrated with my stitching and decided to play a game.

My daughter got me hooked on The Sims 2 So I was playing that. Now I think I'm ready to get back to my stitching.

I know I won't do my goals this month but I'm not worried in the least about it. As they are just goals. They do change.

Mid Week Update

Well I'm going to be putting Wild Horses away as I'm really not happy with the ribbing it's giving me. I can see why you do not work 10 x 10 blocks on Mystic Stitches unless using a scroll frame or qsnaps. So I am going to work on something for my daughter. It's called Baby Ghosts.

This chart uses 16 skiens of black. I do have all of the stuff for it. So it wasn't hard to start it. I'm going to change all of the colours over from Wild Horses. So I'll see how this one works out. I'll be doing it on 32 ct over 2 Ivory Belfast Linen.

My daughter is out of school this week so we are trying to get some cleaning done. It's not going to fast as I've been feeling worn out by noon. Not sure why but I'm sure it will get better.

Another Week's Update

This week has been a slow stitching week. I really haven't done much on the stitching front.

I started off working on Revelations. It took me 4 weeks to finish off page 1. So far you can see her wing and part of a butterfly.

After Revelations I jumped into working On Part 1 of my Chatelaine Mystery XII. I finished part 1 minus the beads, as I'm using qsnaps and don't want them squashed or broken. I have bits of part 2 done but want to finish the outline. If I don't finish part 2 I'm not worried as long as I get the outline done. Then it will be easier to do part 3.

On Monday I start working on Mystic Stitch Wild Horses. I hope to get page 6 done on it. I'm looking forward to it lol. It is only 3300 stitches. So I hope to finish it that week. We shall see.

I have booked the cabin for our trip this summer. I'm so excited about it :) anyways off I go to finish a bit of part 2 then will work on KK Mystery to see if I can finish page 1.

Thursday

Well I'm going to be changing my Posting schedule. I'll be doing posts every Sunday and Wednesday. So that will be a nice change.

Stitching: I finally received my kit for Chatelaine's Mystery XII. I am missing 3 of the flower Crystals. I did email Cindy not sure if she read that yet or not. I am working on Part 1 though and it is coming along nicely. I did have to rip out quiet a bit of stitching and it was the silks. I did manage to save them so that made me happy. But I did get a lot done yesterday. You will see updates of that on Sunday.

With Revelation I only have 630 Stitches as of 10:30 am MST. So I should have it done either today or tomorrow. I'll be happy to finally finish page 1. So far you can see the wings of her and part of a butterfly. The colours in the butterfly are really bright and vibrante. I'm not an orange lover but I do love the 741 colour for this design.

With Kustom Krafts Mystery I have done a little bit more. If I don't get more done on that I won't take a picture as it really isn't worth it. But we shall see how much I have done.

Home: Well not much really going on here. Kerriene is home sick. Poor kid. But she needs the rest and the sleep. Talked to my sister yesterday. Told her the package has been sent. Also I sent Mom's new lap stand to her. She is really excited and cannot wait to get back to stitching. I cannot wait to see what she will work on. We are planning a trip to Ontario this summer. We are going to go out to the camp that I use to go to when I was young. My sister said that they will meet us out there. I'm so excited about that. I can see my niece YAYYYYY lol. And make a trip to Thunder Bay for my Persians lol. If you do not know what persians are they are a donut/cinnamon roll like item with this wonderful Pink icing on it. I love them and usually buy about 4 dozen when I'm there and have the icing on the side. My whole family loves them. My sister sent me more pictures of my niece. She is such a doll here is a picture of her at the Daddy and Daughter Dance

It was a good week I guess for stitching.

This week I worked on Monopoly SAL and finished the Kentucky Square. So next month I work on the New York Square. It turned out wonderful.

I also started the Kustom Krafts Mystery stitch. Didn't get to far as I really wanted to work on Revelations.

And I also worked on Revelations. I got 3280 for the week done. Confetti Nightmare. Wow so sick of confetti lol. But you can see her wing it looks great.

Wow Totally missed updating you all on Tuesday so well better late then never.

It's been a busy week here full of stitching. I only have 3660 stitches left on Revelations to complete page 1. Still waiting for my Mystery XII kit to show up. I hope it's here soon. I'd really like to get started :) Also started the KK one haven't done much on it as I want to get page 1 of Revelation completed for sure this month. I'll be posting photos on Sunday. I did complete one goal and that was to finish the Kentucky Square in the Monopoly sal.

The weather has been nice here so far. We have been seeing above 0 temps all week which is nice. This sunday we are going to a Fishing Derby for Fire Fighters and their families. I'm looking forward to it.

Today's pic I thought I'd share with you is my Daughter. She has really grown a lot and is a beautiful Young lady that butts heads with me all the time. Generally we are good but there are days lol. She will be Graduating Grade 9 this year and then off to Highschool. The Highschool is just a block and a half away so she can walk YAYYY lol.

Month In Review

Wow a month has gone by so fast. I thought I would do a Month in Review.

Well This month saw me start off with Page 1 of Water by HAED. Stitching it 1 over 1 on 28ct Lugana. It is turning out beautiful. That page was a very fast stitch I think as there wasn't much confetti to stitch.

After I was going to hit page 7 of Wild Horses but alas I really didn't want to stitch more Blue. Don't get me wrong I like Blue but needed a break. So I switched to Freedom For All by Kustom Krafts. It definetly went fast. I absolutely loved Stitching Page 2 of the Design as it was more of the Horses Head.

Well after I finished page 2 of FFA, I decided to turn my attentions to another over 1 stitching and that was Revelation. My goal for that was to to get 1/2 way done on Page 1. Well I did meet this goal. It is stitched on 32ct Lugana 1 over 1. It is absolutely wonderful to stitch I am enjoying it. I hope to finish page 1 in February.

This Year I am participating in 3 SAL's.

The First one I'm participating on is Monopoly Sal. I was able to work on it yesterday at the Stitch in at the LNS. I was able to get the Free Parking square done. I will be doing a square a month in this SAL. So Today I will work on Kentucky. Stitched 2 over 2 on 32 ct Joblan Waterlilly

The Second SAL I'm working on is a Kustom Kraft Sal that I am starting today. So no picture is available.

The Third SAL I'm working on is the Chatelaine Myster XII. I'm still waiting for my supplies to show up so I can start and work on Part 1 and Part 2. Here is a picture of what the supplies look like.

Yesterday I was at the Stitch in at my favorite LNS in Cochrane. The shop is called The Stitching Corner Every 2 months they have a 12 hour Stitch in. They have about 15 people show up and we can sit there and stitch. They feed us snacks through out the day and then provide Dinner. We also have draws on little door prizes and a big door prize. I won a chart called Marty Bell's Telegraph Hill Light House. I love it. Also we had coloured nametags and that colour was the indication of our free gift. We got Tins in pink green and yellow. My name tag was green so I got a green tin with a girl on it by Mary Engelbreit. It is so cute. Also I was a little bad. I did buy a chart and it is the New Mirabilia. It is so pretty. But the bonus is we got 20% off and I only had 50 dollars to spend. Well guess what I got 10 back lol. Cause that included my threads I needed the fabric I bought of Monopoly and the Chart so I think I did really good. Here are the pictures of my purchase, my gift and my winning.

Wow Thursday

Where the heck is this week going. My gosh it's going so fast. Well On Sunday I'll do a month in review as it will be February. So that will show all of my progress to date.

I received the Monopoly chart in the mail yesterday. Thanks Shelley. I'll be picking up fabric on Saturday at the Stitch-in as I do not have a big enough piece in my stash to start it. Then I'll start it on Saturday as well as the LNS serges the edges for me so I can start asap. I'll be starting at the Free Space. Then on Sunday I'll do the next square down from that which is New York Ave. With this one I'll be doing a square a month so it won't be finished for a while but that gives me a bit of incentive on working on my other stuff.

I'm still waiting for my Mystery XII kit to arrive. I do not anticipate it to arrive until Next week which is fine. Then I'll get caught up and do part 1 and part 2. I'm really excited about this as this is my first Mystery that I'm doing with Chatelaines.

Well the Kustom Krafts Mystery SAL will be starting on Sunday I have everything but one colour and part 1 lol. I'll be picking up the last colour I need as well on Saturday at the LNS. If Dyan gives us the chart early then I'll start it on Saturday as well. I'm working on it on 32ct beige 2 over 1. I know I can keep up with it. As Dyan took the background out of it.

As well I'll be bringing Revelation on Saturday to the LNS as I'd like to be 1/2 way finished the first page for January. My goal in February is to have page 1 completely done. I know I can do it. As I'm not that far from getting 1/2 way done now I'm at 4550 stitches and to be halfway I only have 960 left. So really not that much left for 1/2 way. It's looking good. And another plus is that the Heaven and Earth BB is having a retired artist SAL this weekend and This one is Retired. So it works out perfectly.

The weather here is really nice its 37 F or plus 5 C. So it is really a lovely day here. The new Sushi restaurant is now open and I'd love to go but alas I'm going to the LNS on Saturday so I think I'll wait till after. As I have some money saved for spending on Fabric and a thread.

I thought I'd share a picture with you today. This is my Niece. She is 5 years old will be 6 this August and Revelation is for her. She is a real princes this one lol. She dressed up as Cinderella for Halloween and this is the picture I'm sharing with you. She is my angel this one. Apparently she is just like Me lol. She is also a very gifted 5 year old. She has a vocabulary of a 11 year old and reads chapter books as well. I'm so proud of her.

I can't believe it's Tuesday already. I was feeling a bit down as I signed up for the Chatelaine Mystery XII and haven't started yet as I still don't have my supplies. So I thought I'd email Cindy to see if they received the beads yet and she told me my Kit was shipped today. YAYYYY I'm so excited. I cannot wait. As soon as that comes in I'll edge my fabric and then start on Part 1 and Part 2 as by the time I get it Part 2 should be released. I'm also waiting very patiently for the Monopoly Pattern to get here from Shelley. It has been mailed but with the way the Mail goes here I'll probably not get it until the First week of February but that's ok as I still need to buy fabric for it as I don't have any big enough. I'm at the cross stitch store for the stitch in on Saturday anyways so will pick it up. She edges my fabric so I don't have to worry about that. I'll be doing 1 square a month. That will give me enough time to work on the pieces I want to work on. I did a bit of stitching yesterday only completed 400 stitches yesterday and then I went ahead and read. I am hoping that I will be half way done the 1st page of Revelation by Sunday. I'm not that far from being it right now as I have 3700 Stitches completed right now so only another 1800 stitches and I'll be half way. So we shall see.
The weather is really nice here so I'm hoping for an early spring. We are at 36 F right now or Plus 5 C for us Canadians, Europeans, and Aussies. Or anyone who uses Celcius. Anyways should get back to my stitching

Wow this week just flew by. Another productive week on stitching and Reading. This week I was working on Revelation by HAED. It is done on 32ct Golden Harvest, 1 over 1. So its really tiny but it looks so good. I'm in awe on how it looks like a painting. Here is a picture of it.

This week for reading I finished the first book in a series. It's called The Wolfblade Trilogy By Author Jennifer Fallon who is from Australia. Her site is http://www.jenniferfallon.com/ if anyone is interested in finding out her books. Yes these books are fanatasy but she writes so well. And it keeps you on the edge of her seat. I have both sets of books. It starts off with The Wolfblade Trilogy then goes to the Demon Child Trilogy. So defintely check it out.

So this week is a busy week for me. Have to clean the house and attempt to find work :) I know I will find a job absolutely not worried about it. Also on Saturday I'm going to the LNS for a stitch in. I cannot wait for that. I'll be bringing Revelations with me and the parts for the Monopoly SAL cause I have to get fabric and a few colours Michaels didn't have. I'm really excited about that.
